ABOUT
Phoenixville Free Clinic is a nonprofit healthcare provider serving uninsured and underserved adults across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. Funded entirely through community support and volunteer commitment, the clinic provides comprehensive primary, specialty, and behavioral health services to the underresourced.
THE CHALLENGE
The client needed an advocacy sheet to help inform donors, community partners, and potential patients about the clinic’s impact, services, and mission. The sheet needed to consolidate a large volume of existing content - including branding assets, written copy, testimonials, statistics, and facts - into a clear, professional format suitable for external audiences.
As the project progressed, additional requirements emerged: expanded patient testimonials, removal of certain visual elements, inclusion of leadership imagery, and a shift from a one-page layout to a two-page format following internal review. The challenge was to accommodate evolving stakeholder input without sacrificing clarity, hierarchy, or usability.

THE SOLUTION
To accommodate the volume of information, I designed a clean, modular layout that organizes it into a clear visual narrative. The design incorporates Phoenixville Free Clinic’s existing branding, drawing from their established color palette and using both straight lines and rounded visual elements to reinforce trust and warmth. Contrasting colors, clean lines, and spacing are used strategically to separate sections and emphasize key information. Long testimonials were structured into a multi-column format to preserve each patient’s story while maintaining readability.
In the final two-page format, I placed the QR code and donation call to action on both pages - prominently on the first page and repeated at the end of the document - to ensure accessibility and reinforce next steps.
The result is an advocacy piece that presents a large amount of information in a structured, approachable format, guiding the reader through the content without overwhelming them.
